Crossing Flat Bridge which runs across Rio Cobre in the parish of Saint Catherine, Jamaica, West Indies.
This boat landed in Discovery Bay, Jamaica on March 8, 1996 with 15 refugees onboard who sailed from Cuba which is approximately 90 miles north of Jamaica. Some of them stayed in Jamaica, and the others were accepted by the United States. This boat has been converted to a monument commemorating people worldwide who risk their lives for freedom.
This is a panorama that was taken on the side of the A1 Highway in Steer Town overlooking St. Ann's Bay and the Caribbean Sea in St. Ann Parish on the northern coast of Jamaica. The sun is setting towards the west. We were just returning from Kingston after visiting my uncle and aunt.
