Castle Clinton

Before there was Ellis Island, there was Castle Clinton (Fort Clinton) where approximately 8 million immigrants passed through between 1855 and 1890. This fort is located in Battery Park in Manhattan. You can see the Statue of Liberty in the background and directly beneath the statue you will see a person dressed up as the Statue of Liberty.
