Standing on the Westminster Bridge over the River Thames facing the Palace of Westminster and Big Ben. We later went into the House of Commons/House of Lords to watch Parliament in action. Unfortunately cameras were not allowed but it was very interesting to see how issues were discussed. in Parliament.
Pont d'Arcole Bridge crosses over the Seine River in Paris. The bridge is named for a battle that took place in 1796 during the French Revolutionary Wars.
